Christmas party outfits

Skrivet:    ·  Fashion, Generally

Glitter, red lipstick, and twinkly lights. Dressing up for Christmas parties can be a lot of fun, but it can also leave you frantically sifting through your wardrobe and burrowing under a pile of big ‘NO’s! Here is a short list of versatile must-haves to add to your holiday wardrobe…

❄ Burgundy midi skirt

If you’re going for a classic look, that will draw a little attention, the midi skirt does just that. Red looks gorgeous, but can be a little bold for some, so a deeper burgundy shade is perfect. Tuck in a black lace top to complete your outfit. Since midi skirts cover up most of your lower portion, show off your arms with a t-shirt sleeve in order to achieve some balance.

❄ Black jumpsuit

Jumpsuits can look super cute, yet classy, given that it is the right cut for your body. You could opt for a more ‘flowy’ leg if you do not feel too comfortable with highlighting the shape of your legs, and this will instantly give you a sophisticated look. Experiment with different neck cuts, and throw on a statement necklace to pull it all together.

❄ Velvet skater dress

Last year, these were big, and this year seems no different. There are many festive shades to choose from; deep wine, navy blue, emerald green. This youthful number looks cosy, yet as though you have put in a lot of effort.

❄ Faux fur coat

My top faux fur coat colours are black and a light grey - these just scream “WINTER!”, and add a luxurious touch to any outfit, whether you decide to go for the short or long variation.

❄ Faux suede heels

Black leather ankle boots are definitely a staple for this season, however, to dress up a party outfit, suede heels do just that. Preferably closed-toed, to protect your precious feet from the cold as much as possible.

Although outfits can make us feel beautiful, remember that it’s the memories that make the moment :)
